The Kern River Valley Historical Society has been in operation for over 40 years. Our mission is to preserve and communicate the rich and colorful history of this region. To achieve these goals we have established the Kern Valley Museum in downtown Kernville next to the Post Office.

We are headed for the fourth month of the year and dues are now overdue...

Please renew as soon as possible. The dues take care of the running of our museum and now the annex.

KRV Historical Society welcomes 10 new members, two of whom are Corporate. A very big welcome to: Kitty Rock of Kernville, Herb Snell of Lake Isabella, Frank Dake of Bakersfield, Michael & Debbie Hess of Lake Isabella, Laura Stockton of Bakersfield, Mike Dake’s business (Lake Isabella Precision Tax) Lake Isabella, Paradise Cove Lodge Corporate Membership of Lake Isabella, Preceptor Xi Eta Sorority Corporate Membership (President--Wendy Tidwell) Weldon. I have received 2 renewals.

As of March 22, 2017, there are 69 members who have not yet renewed. Reminder letters will be sent soon. I want to thank those members who have been out there getting new members and the corporate memberships!
