The Kern River Valley Historical Society has been in operation for over 40 years. Our mission is to preserve and communicate the rich and colorful history of this region. To achieve these goals we have established the Kern Valley Museum in downtown Kernville next to the Post Office.

Annual Potluck-Aug 22nd

Can you believe it? We're half way through 2017 and planning this year's...

annual POT LUCK! Mark your calendars for Tuesday, August 22!  Our Pot Luck is in lieu of our regular Historical Society meeting.

We will begin at 6:00 PM at the Senior Center in Lake Isabella. Good food and friendships never disappoint.

Please bring enough of your dish to feed 8-10 people, an appropriate serving utensil, and your place settings (plates and utensils). Water, tea and ice will be provided.

Following is the suggested item to bring based on the first letter of your last name: A-G Dessert H-S Salad or Side Dish T-Z Main Dish If you really, really, really want to bring something from another category, that's OK too.

If you have any questions, call Linda Kubisiak (see your Saddlebag).

While your calendar is out, mark Monday, December 4, 2017, 1:00 PM for our Holiday/Installation Lunch. This year it will be a lunch for those who can't make it in the evening hours. Once again it will be held at Ewing's on the Kern. Stay tuned for more information.
