The Kern River Valley Historical Society has been in operation for over 40 years. Our mission is to preserve and communicate the rich and colorful history of this region. To achieve these goals we have established the Kern Valley Museum in downtown Kernville next to the Post Office.

Field Trip to Rankin Ranch

Weds, Oct 18th - History Session & Lunch...

We’ll meet at the Senior Center on Wednesday, October 18th at 10:00 AM and leave promptly at 10:15 AM.  Or you can meet us at the Rankin Ranch by 11:30AM.

A History Presentation by Glenda Rankin will begin at 11:30 AM and a buffet lunch will be served at 12:30 PM.

At 1:30 PM we are invited to meet the Rankins at the family cemetery for a history tour.

Cost: $15.00 per person.

We have reached our limit of 54, but not everyone has paid. It’s likely openings will become available. You can place your name on the waiting list.

The deadline is Oct 9th. If you made a reservation and want to cancel, please call Liz.  Paid cancellations after October 10th will not be refunded.
