The Kern River Valley Historical Society has been in operation for over 40 years. Our mission is to preserve and communicate the rich and colorful history of this region. To achieve these goals we have established the Kern Valley Museum in downtown Kernville next to the Post Office.

The Kern River Art Association Presents 


   Fluid Sculpture Art


Martin Varga





Martin's current project, Fluid Sculpture Art, uses fluids which have liquid or 

gaseous particles that easily yield and reshape when acted upon by force to

create unique textures and shapes.  A number of his images are created from a 

specialized form of fluid artwork through the use of colliding water drops and 

colored lights to create an artistic rendering of water sculpture images.  His

goal is that the final images will reveal to the observer an aspect of his art that

has never been seen before.

Installation Dinner at Ewing’s on the Kern.

If you haven’t made your reservation, we’re so sorry! As of press time, the deadline for reservations has passed.

Lunch begins at 1:00 p.m. and the program begins at 2:00 p.m. If you’d like to come to the program, you are more than welcome!

We will be installing our new slate of officers, giving awards, and celebrating an outstanding year for the Historical Society.

There will even be a few surprises! We hope you will come.
