The Kern River Valley Historical Society has been in operation for over 40 years. Our mission is to preserve and communicate the rich and colorful history of this region. To achieve these goals we have established the Kern Valley Museum in downtown Kernville next to the Post Office.

The Kern River Art Association Presents

   Fluid Sculpture Art

Martin Varga

Martin's current project, Fluid Sculpture Art, uses fluids which have liquid or

gaseous particles that easily yield and reshape when acted upon by force to

create unique textures and shapes.  A number of his images are created from a

specialized form of fluid artwork through the use of colliding water drops and

colored lights to create an artistic rendering of water sculpture images.  His

goal is that the final images will reveal to the observer an aspect of his art that

has never been seen before.

The Kern River Valley Art Association is proud to present...

paintings by the many dedicated volunteers who have brought awareness of the arts to our valley.

Opening reception is on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017.4-6pm.  The paintings will be on display through December and January.  Thursday thru Sunday 11AM to 4PM.

We would like to thank the Historical Society for their hospitality in hosting the KRVAA for the last 50 years and the many people who come to view local artists’ work.

I would like to thank Rich Burdge personally for his enthusiasm and support that has inspired me and sustained me over the last three years.
