The Kern River Valley Historical Society has been in operation for over 40 years. Our mission is to preserve and communicate the rich and colorful history of this region. To achieve these goals we have established the Kern Valley Museum in downtown Kernville next to the Post Office.

At the museum during the month of October

The Kern River Art Association presents

   “Blood and Bonds”

Artist and writers related to each other by blood or other bond respond to each others work.

It is intriguing to see the closeness that is formed between two people who are bonded in some way to each other.

This diverse show of 24 gifted participants give us work from paint to lithograph's and poems

to crisp six liners.  It gives the viewer plenty to ponder.

Come and meet these gifted people at a reception in the museum's art gallery on

Saturday 14th October from 4-6pm
