The Kern River Valley Historical Society is celebrating over 50 years of operation! Our mission is to preserve and communicate the rich and colorful history of this region. The Kern Valley Museum in downtown Kernville, next to the Post Office, welcomes visitors to explore our rich history.

What's Happening

May will be here before we know it and it is going to be a very busy and special month.

We will need your help to make our Sirretta Street sales and History Days a success. There will be sign-up sheets for both events in the Gift Shop at the museum all of April and May up to the event. If you can’t get to the museum to volunteer, give me a call.

What makes May really special this year is the Cornerstone/Time Capsule presentation for our Annex by the Grand Lodge of California of the Masons, led by Tom McKinney.

Along with all of these activities, be sure to attend our excellent general meetings, field trips, and educational programs.

Also, this April, Bunco is back. Don’t miss out. Your president, Ron Anderson
